Every class you take funds free music education for underprivileged children.

Our Story
Built from belief
Sinfonia Foundation was born from a simple truth — music should not be a privilege. Across India, countless children from underprivileged communities never get the chance to learn an instrument. Not because they lack talent or passion. But because they lack access, resources, and someone who believes in them.
We are a music school established in Patuli, Kolkata in 2023 — offering violin, piano, keyboard and guitar (classical & non-classical) classes both online and offline. Our online classes reach students worldwide: NRIs and native residents in Germany, Belgium, USA, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Australia and the UK all learn with us. Classical guitar classes are available exclusively online. We prepare students for internationally recognised ABRSM, Trinity and RCM (Royal Conservatory of Music) examinations.
Sinfonia runs on a self-sustaining model: fees from enrolled students directly fund free music education for children in government schools and underserved communities across Kolkata. We are also actively expanding — more Sinfonia branches are coming to Kolkata to reach more students and neighbourhoods.
Every student who joins Sinfonia — whether from Patuli, across India, or from overseas — is part of something larger than a music class. Donors and CSR partners who support us help place instruments in the hands of children who would otherwise never touch one.

Kyem Ghosh
Musician · Educator · Founder & Director
Raised in Farakka, West Bengal with no formal musical background, Kyem discovered music through his first guru, Mr. Indrajit Chowdhury — a discovery that shaped his entire life's path.
After training at the Calcutta School of Music under Mr. Kaushik Das and completing a Master's in Music from Rabindra Bharati University, he founded Sinfonia Foundation to make that same opportunity accessible to every child.
